Juan was born in Medellin, Colombia, and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. As a former United States Marine, the importance of servant leadership, grit, and adaptability to obstacles are at the core of Juan's management style. Working in Beijing, China, and liaising with multiple world cities throughout his career has afforded Juan the fortune of amassing business contacts globally. This international breadth of experience allows him to analyze deals and opportunities with profound understanding and perspective.
Juan holds degrees in Real Estate Finance and development and International Management. He facilitates courses in commercial real estate, strategic leadership, and marketing for Cornell University.
Outside of work, Juan serves or has served on multiple non-profit boards for the Urban Land Institute, Community Housing Resource Partners, the Leadership Organization of Professionals, the Real Estate Council, and Leadership San Antonio. He has also served on the CPS Energy Citizens Advisory Committee and the Mayor's Housing Policy Task Force. He is an avid world traveler, adventure motorcyclist, and father to two super-rad boys and a Siberian Husky named Bexar.

Before this, she served as AVP of Contract Management and Quality Assurance for Haven for Hope, playing a pivotal role in creating the Homeless and Housing Services Program in the State of Texas, funded with $20 million in general revenue.
In 2010, Meghan completed a role with the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation, focusing on national public-private partnerships to address the nation's needs. She has since applied this approach to CHR Partners, demonstrating how "service-enriched housing" can foster sustainability and self-sufficiency for families and communities.
Today, Meghan is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Rise Civic Consulting, a startup dedicated to solving community issues through innovative technologies. In 2019, she was honored as the San Antonio Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Woman of the Year and recognized as one of the top 100 National Rising Stars by the National Business Journal. Additionally, Meghan serves as an Adjunct Professor for Trinity University's Entrepreneurship Program and the Center for International Engagement. Most importantly, she is the proud mother of two beautiful boys, Jackson (12) and Maxwell (9).
