IT’S EXPENSIVE TO BE POOR!

The Problem

Today people are investing valuable time, they don’t really have, hunting for an apartment, applying for their lease, hoping to call this place home. But those residents in need of affordable housing have added layers of complexity.

Low income residents have to compete with the high demand for a scare supply of units, long waitlists, meet specific income requirements and HOPE the community has all the social service support their family needs.

What if there was a single place residents could go to search for real and relevant housing?

OUR SOLUTION

Housing Base is the nation's first affordable housing inventory system that searches for relevant housing options based on the social determinants of health.

Decades of government programs, initiatives and records keeping has resulted in rich collections of municipal data. These data lakes are incredibly useful as a base for building next-gen smart cities technologies. Unfortunately maintaining this data was difficult in the past, resulting in datasets that are often siloed, out of date and not in a readily usable format.

Housing Base is a smart cities technology that organizes and centralizes a city's affordable housing inventory in ways never before possible. By leveraging municipal data and sending our data analysts in the field to meet with property ownership, we are able to provide the most complete and up-to-date database to our clients. A beautiful series of analytics dashboards provides municipal leadership with deep insights on housing stock, resident demographics and real-time user engagement on the site.
